What this policy covers
This policy explains information handling through our website, contact enquiries, appointment requests and educational resources. Mortgage assistance can involve additional personal and credit information. Before that information is collected or shared, ask for the applicable credit guide, privacy disclosures and consent documents. This website policy does not replace those documents.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we collect contact details you provide, enquiry messages, appointment details, resource requests, marketing preferences and related correspondence. Website and email systems may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device details, timestamps, cookies, delivery failures, email opens and link clicks. If you proceed with mortgage assistance, information may include identification, employment, income, expenses, assets, debts and property details, subject to the relevant collection notice and consent process. Do not send identity documents, passwords, PINs or one-time security codes through the starter tool.
How and why information is used
We collect information directly from you through forms, emails, phone calls and appointments, and through the website systems you use. Where relevant to mortgage assistance and authorised or otherwise permitted by law, information may also come from your advisers, lenders or other service providers. We use information to respond to enquiries, arrange appointments, provide requested resources, provide services you request, manage preferences, resolve problems, protect our systems and meet legal obligations. You can browse without identifying yourself. If you do not provide information needed for a request, we may be unable to fulfil it.
Starter tool and resource emails
The checklist can be viewed without an account or email. Its buyer type, location, budget and timeframe answers are planning inputs, not a borrowing assessment. The current tool does not include these answers in a resource email request. A resource request records your email address, selected resource and separate optional marketing choice. Requesting a resource does not automatically subscribe you to marketing or request a sales call.
Marketing choices
The tips and updates checkbox is optional and unticked by default. Where you consent to marketing, you can unsubscribe using the email link or contact Kyoh. We keep the information needed to honour your opt-out. Requested resource delivery is separate from marketing subscription.
Who may receive information
Authorised EHL personnel and service providers supporting our website, administration, email and IT may handle information needed for their roles. We use Wix for website hosting, forms, contact records and automated resource emails. In providing mortgage assistance, relevant information may be shared with our credit licensee, aggregator, prospective lenders, professional advisers and other providers where authorised or permitted by law, as explained in the applicable service disclosures. We may also disclose information where legally required or permitted.
Overseas handling
Technology providers may store or process information outside Australia. Wix and its providers operate internationally, including in Israel, the United States and European locations. EHL must confirm any other providers and likely overseas recipients before this draft is published.
Cookies and links
Cookies and similar technologies help operate and protect the site and may support analytics and email measurement. Browser controls can restrict cookies, which may affect functionality. EHL must confirm its analytics, advertising and cookie settings before publication. External websites have their own privacy practices; read their notices before providing information.
Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect information and restrict access to authorised people. No online system is completely secure. Records are kept for the purposes described and applicable legal obligations. Information no longer needed is removed or de-identified where retention is not required. Contact us about retention or deletion of your records.
Access, correction and complaints
Email Kyoh to request access to or correction of information, ask about deletion, obtain a copy of this policy, or raise a privacy complaint. Explain the issue without sending identity documents initially. We may need to verify your identity. We will assess your request and explain the outcome, any lawful limits and any proposed access charge before proceeding. We aim to respond to privacy complaints within 30 days, or explain if more time is needed. If unresolved, contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at https://www.oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints about your options.
Updates
We will revise this policy when our information handling changes and show the revision date.
